July

We flew to Ohio and arrived after my niece was asleep. This was their reunion the next morning. They love each other!IMG_2124

The rest of these pictures aren’t in any particular order. But they’re the highlights of our family visit to Ohio and then our girls weeks in North Dakota later that month.  IMG_2168 IMG_2233 IMG_2258 IMG_2304

back in the old routine

June 11th was the last time I updated the blog. Good grief.

What's happened in the past two months? Here's the abbreviated version...

J celebrated Father's Day #2

We celebrated our eight year wedding anniversary. How on earth has it been eight years? Oh how I love that boy. I'm afraid he'll always be a boy to me. Yes, I took pictures of the anniversary food and not the couple. Fail.

The three of us flew to Ohio over the July 4th holiday. J stayed for a week and then went back to North Dakota to head out on a deployment. The top photo is from the July Fourth parade. The second picture was J's last day of vacation.

I stayed in Ohio for about a week longer. Mom, C, and I made a road trip to Indiana to visit childhood friends. What a wonderful, albeit, short visit. Although a trooper, C was ready to be out of her car seat.

The Moldovan ladies came back to ND with C and I. Two weeks all to ourselves. It was heavenly and the girls loved being together.

C ended the visit getting sick. It was the first time she's really been sick, sick enough to go to the doctor. It ended up being roseola and was no fun for anyone for a week. Well, maybe the cat since he got lots of extra snuggles.

Sara flew out just a few days after my sister left. She stayed with us for a couple days before we loaded up the car and drove back to Ohio for two days. My budding bibliophile spent the majority of the trip reading.

And so last week C and I arrived back in Ohio to stay with my Mom and step-Dad for awhile. No point in staying up in ND all alone when we can be with family and friends enjoying the end of summer.

I've got about 347 pictures from the last two months. I'm hoping to load at least the highlights over the next couple of weeks. I haven't been doing much reading; I never do when we're traveling or having guests. But I have a few books to post on. I've been working on my quilt a lot. It's in the end stages; I have to trim it and decide on the binding and then bind it. I brought all my sewing equipment with me so it will be done shortly.

Our life together begins
