Family pictures, autumn 2014

There are so many great pictures from our family photo session a few weeks ago. I want to post them all, and frankly by the time I’m done I probably will post most of them. Here’s round one. Enjoy!

Month 5

Eyes: Blue

Hair: Her newborn hair has all fallen out. The dark hair gone, she's mostly bald but showing signs of being blonde.

Firsts: She found her feet, both of them and all at once. She's even managed to get them into her mouth. She also got her first tooth (Sunday the 28th)! Bottom left. And less fun, she had her first cold. The cold was thankfully mild, but it coincided with Mumma's cold and wasn't nice.

Weight: 12 pounds (approximate home measurements)

 

In other news nap time has become a sort of non existent struggle. Perhaps due to the new tooth? At any rate I'm reading up on sleep training and trying a new nap routine without her swaddle. She’s also been sleeping with both arms out of her swaddle at night now.  

 

We had our first ever professional family pictures taken. The first professional pictures since our wedding in fact. I'm preparing our 2014 Christmas cards already. We had the absolutely most perfect day for our pictures; probably the last Indian summer day of the year. C did wonderfully, a natural baby model.

 

She’s much more expressive; when she coos and babbles she just looks so intent, as if she’s willing you to really understand. She still smiles all the time, but no longer just for anyone. Stranger danger has begun and she most definitely prefers Mumma and Dadda! She also doesn’t much care for me leaving the room. She also has noticed the cats and enjoys watching them. When you hold toys for her she will reach over and grab them. She’s a fan of books; while she does try and eat them, she also looks at the pictures. She laughs pretty regularly as well. The laughs are the best.
