July - August 2016
I dropped the proverbial ball and didn't write anything anywhere specifically about JM fifth month. The time frame was July 18-August 17 and that was when we finally finished the last leg of our move and drove from Ohio to Delaware, unpacked, and set up in our new house. The move meant that J was back in the picture full time and he and JM finally got a lot of time together. My saintly sister and her daughter were also with us for about two weeks helping unpack, set up, entertain children, cook, clean, shop, and generally being good company for a weary family in a brand new place. Busy, tired and stressed are all accurate summaries of that month, and also understatements. It was survival mode during month 5!
Some firsts for JM, moving into his first new house, his first long car trip (he did very well as long as Taylor Swifts 1989 played on repeat until the last hour and then nothing could allay his screaming until the trip was over.)
He also went to his first air museum, the Air Mobility Command museum on the base here. He slept through it; but his sister and cousin had a blast. He also went to the Akron Zoo and a local butterfly garden (again, mostly asleep).
He slept in a pack-n-play in our closet that month, and I remember a lot of time being devoted to getting him to go to sleep, with erratic night time sleep; sometimes up once, other times up several times. Still nursing well, still spitting up a ton, and still loving bath time which daddy took over since we left Gigi. I do not recall very successful naps.
Thankfully I have some good pictures from that month, even if the details are scarce.

that picture of C reading to J - just that. oh my. so many good pictures of that sweet, sweet boy.
